Large, Untested Porphyry–Skarn System
The Auquis Copper-Gold Project covers 3,600 hectares roughly 377 km south of Lima and 95 km from the coast. The project sits along the eastern flank of the Coastal Batholith, a metallogenic corridor that hosts numerous porphyry, VMS, and IOCG deposits.
Exploration to date has outlined two principal centers of mineralization:
- Rose Zone – copper-molybdenum porphyry system with potassic and sericite alteration.
- Blanco Zone – copper-lead-zinc-silver skarn mineralization developed along the contact of the batholith and limestone.
A third magnetic feature, the Tinto Zone, exhibits notable magnetic contrast and surface copper staining, suggesting additional untested targets.
Technical Highlights
- Surface Work Completed: 291 soil samples, 666 rock samples, and 66 line km of ground-magnetic survey data.
- Soil Anomalies: Rose Zone (2 × 2 km) and Blanco Zone (2 × 1 km) with strong copper-molybdenum-silver correlation.
- Rock Chip Results: Copper grades up to 5.8 % copper in Rose Zone; up to 2.8 %copper, 9.3 % zinc, 6.0 % lead, 176 g/t silver in Blanco Zone.
- Alteration: Potassic and strong–moderate sericite alteration with secondary biotite in Rose Zone; prograde and retrograde skarn stages at Blanco Zone with copper oxides, garnet–pyroxene, and epidote–amphibole assemblages.
- Geophysics: A 72 line-km magnetic survey reveals overlapping high-magnetic and chargeability zones aligned with structural trends, indicating magnetite-bearing potassic cores typical of porphyry systems.

The project qualifies for Peru’s Ficha Técnica Ambiental, a fast-track environmental permitting process that allows applicants to secure drill permissions more quickly.
